Company Summary
Lion's Heart is a national platform for teen volunteering and leadership. Members have performed over 400,000 hours of community service since its founding in 2004. Teens are assigned to groups from 3-20 Members by grade level, gender and location, with one parent as the group's coordinator. The Members provide the leadership for each group by annually electing their own officers. Members perform an average of 60 hours of service each year.

Founder, Executive DirectorTerry is dedicated to serving the community. She has served as PTA President, School Site Council Chairman, and Executive Director of EFC Foundation, to name a few. Terry has been awarded two PTA Honorary Service Awards; National Philanthropy Day awarded Lion’s Heart with the Outstanding Youth Group award; she appeared on the Katie Couric Show, and was presented with The President's Volunteer Service Award for "Lifetime Achievement".

Director of Member RelationsDeborah manages all Class Coordinators and is responsible for Member Relations. She has worked with the organization since its founding in 2004, as Lion’s Heart’s inaugural group's Class Coordinator, then as Chapter President. She has been awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award for Lifetime Achievement. Deborah has a B.S. in Marketing from Seton Hall University.

Director of OperationsKarah began with Lion's Heart in 2005, as Class Coordinator, then Chapter President, and now as Director of Operations. Karah holds a psychology degree from Pomona College and Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Claremont Graduate School. She taught elementary school for nine years in the Irvine and Ontario-Montclair School Districts and has been awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Finance DirectorSheila Hickey is Lion's Heart Finance Director. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has worked in human resources and office management. She is an active member in National Charity League-Saddleback Valley Chapter and is its past Treasurer. Sheila is the former Executive Director of Education for the Children and is a former PTA President, PTSA Council Board Member, and a School Site Council Member.

Director of Product DevelopmentDon Gibson is Lion's Heart Product Development Director. Don graduated with a BS in computing from Cal State Long Beach and has worked in the technology industry for 30+ years, with TRW Aerospace, OrCad, Canon, Homes.Com, and others. Don created the Lion's Heart Member app, and architected the Lion's Heart volunteer platform including content management, communication system, and analytics.

Marketing and Business Development DirectorSherri Medina is Lion's Heart Marketing Director. Sherri has a Master's Degree in Communicative Disorders, with a specialty in geriatric neuro disorders and brain injury rehabilitation. She is the former CEO of CareMeridian, recipient of Ernst & Young/INC Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year awards, and the OC Business Journal Women in Business Award. Sherri is involved in YPO, the United Way Women's Philanthropy Fund, and other non-profits.

Awards DirectorChristine’s dedication to Lion’s Heart began when her son was in 7th grade and the group needed a Class Coordinator. As Lion’s Heart continued to grow, Christine was asked to be the Chapter President of the Trabuco Canyon – Coto Chapter, and is now Lion’s Heart Awards Director. Christine is the foundation administrator for Rancho Santa Margarita's Bell Tower Foundation; she graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in business.

Volunteer Outreach ManagerShari first became involved with Lion’s Heart in 2005 when her middle son, Connor, became a Member. In 2009, she became a Class Coordinator for her youngest son, Eric. Shari volunteers for Junior League, Assistance League and Kettering Elementary School, Meritage Elves, and has held PTA board positions. She graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Merchandise ChairmanCarey is responsible for online sales, compiling and sending welcome packages for Members, Class Coordinators and Chapter Presidents. She has held multiple leadership roles with the PTA. Carey has a passion for saving rescue dogs and has partnered with many local rescue organizations in re-homing hundreds of dogs. She recently received the PTA Honorary Service Award. Carey graduated from Arizona State University with a BS degree.
