Company Summary

The team of L. Jay Guo and Jae Yong Lee has been investigating color decorative electric power-generating panels for more than three years at the University of Michigan. A technology portfolio covers both the electrical and optical design principles. With the patent-pending technology, we have successfully demonstrated that the decorative power-generating films can be made (e.g. reflective U of M logo as well as semi-transparent American flag).

  • Jae Yong Lee

    Jae Yong Lee (Entrepreneurial Lead) is a senior graduate student in the Guo Research Group at the University of Michigan. He has developed extensive expertise in ultra-thin a-Si/organic hybrid solar cells with various visual effects for architectural applications; and solar energy harvesting in greenhouse/biofuel industries as well. He is highly motivated to transition the technology to commercial products and interested in an entrepreneur career

    L. Jay Guo (Faculty Advisor) is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. He is an expert in nanomanufacturing, organic and hybrid photovoltaics with color generating dual functionality, and photonic devices; committed to transition the laboratory findings and technologies to commercialization.

  • Roland Scott

    Roland Scott (Business Mentor) is a seasoned entrepreneur with prior experience in many energy technologies and energy economics. He currently consults to major corporations on new technology products and market development execution. He was recently VP of Marketing for a start-up distributed wind energy company. He has conducted many customer discovery investigations and currently mentors new Michigan entrepreneurs and student teams.
