Company Summary

It's time to prioritize energy as a human right in Africa. Light Up Africa combines both mobile and immobile technologies to provide access to electricity, charge mobile phones, and monetize Kenyan lives. Our product, the Taapoa, is a user-centered technology embracing the prevalence of mobile phone technology as primary means of internet and telecommunications access in lieu of capital-intensive infrastructure in developing economies.

Alan has broad experience working on engineering projects in 16 countries and has collaborated with several start-ups in Kenya.
