We have a two-part thesis: 1) Standard tequila positioning (traditional, established, Mexican and masculine) is disconnected from the consumer. Women represent more than 50% of the tequila drinking market, are massively influential and hugely under-represented. 2) The tequila industry is poised for the same growth and evolution that the vodka market experienced in the mid-2000s when premiumization and flavorization caused a major market shift.
