KnowMaths mission is to tackle academic failure and educational inequality. We use technology to connect academic talent from around the world to schools across the UK, challenging the norms of supply to ensure that every child has access to specialist one-to-one support. Human resource is the most valuable part of of any education system, this is the budget we identify with, focusing on the £9bn spent on support and intervention in UK schools.

    Founder

    This is Tom’s second venture in education technology. In 2009 he set up Brightspark Education, successfully developing the model of online tuition using Indian based tutors in partnership with TSL Education, before exiting in July 2012.

  • Steve Goodwin
    Head of Technology

    Steve has over 20 years experience developing gaming, online and mobile products, scaling platforms to millions of users. More recently he has developed education gaming engines and whiteboard applications, two of the key streams in the KnowMaths product roadmap.

  • Roshan Nilaweera
    Business development

    Roshan studied computer science at the University of Bristol before joining the Teach First programme. He is in charge of building our community of schools.

  • Dr Naomi Norman
    Head of Academics

    Naomi has extensive experience in teaching and maths pedagogy, and has worked with many of the largest education publishers in the world. Her focus will be overseeing and developing the academic user. experience.

  • Jeremy Moses
    Sales and support

    Jeremy graduated with a first from Oxford before becoming a strategy consultant. He then joined Discovery communications in corporate strategy. His focus is on sales and market analysis.

  • Damian Marciniec
    Lead developer

    Damian has a Masters in computer science and has several years experience developing education technology products.
