Co-founder and CEO Damien Barr, from Australia, settled in the US after a career as a professional rugby player. Here, he became a licensed General Contractor, building high-end luxury homes. Damien expanded his construction and management company to manage multiple resort development projects throughout the world. A licensed real estate broker, Damien founded KangaRent to provide comprehensive services to the growing rental market.

Co-founder and CTO Richard Jaffe held various senior management positions during his more than twenty years on Wall Street. Most notably, Rick, as head of Information Technology for a securities brokerage firm, helped the firm to buy itself from its parent and become wholly employee owned, to grow from 30 to 230 employees, and to grow in profitability many fold. Rick has two degrees in computer science, and an MBA.
