Mr. Kamath has more than 22 years of experience in the biotechnology industry and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Cellular Engineering Technologies (CET). Anant is the scientific developer of Cardiostrong. He has a Master’s in Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins as well as a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is also a licensed attorney in the State of Iowa and focuses on intellectual property.

Jay Kamath has a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. He has most recently spent four years in the biotechnology industry and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of JP2MRI; a non-profit institute established to raise funds for ethical stem cell research and patient education. Mr. Kamath has extensive litigation experience in all areas of civil law including contracts and licensing agreements.

Ms. Sara Ternes has dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Northern Iowa, in Biology and Biochemistry, where she was an honors graduate and Presidential Scholar awardee. Currently, Ms. Ternes works as a research assistant at JP2MRI, helping with database management, grant writing, patient recruitment and community outreach.

Mr. Curtis Nelson is the founder of the Entrepreneurial Development Center (EDC) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Under his leadership, in the last ten years, EDC has helped entrepreneurs raise over $200 million in capital, generated over $350 million in new revenue and created 2,000 new jobs in Iowa.
