KaChing! allows shoppers to receive coupons through a mobile app and redeem them at the checkout by scanning a QR-code displayed at each checkout lane. Deploying KaChing! at a store takes ten minutes, and requires no modifications to POS software or new hardware. Coupons are validated during a transaction, eliminating coupon fraud. Brands and retailers can access redemption data in real-time, measure and modify their campaigns like never before.


  • In addition to his role as CEO, Yuri created the core technology behind Ka Ching!. Previously he was CIO at Vega Capital, Principal Engineer at Xerox PARC, and managed engineering teams at several startups, including Wavespan, Cognisign, and Visuvi. He holds an MBA from Haas School of Business (Haas Venture Fellow), an M.Sc. Mathematics summa cum laude from Kiev University, and is a CFA charterholder.

  • Dr. Lenny Kontsevich brings expertise in intellectual property and user experience. He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and  Ph.D. in physics and mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He worked for more than 20 years in academia in the areas of cognitive neuroscience, human and computer vision. Later he held senior research positions in a number of startups, most recently at Leap Motion.

    Gary is a seasoned veteran of the grocery industry. He was a founding officer of Webvan.com, raising $431 million in the largest IPO of any startup at the time. Prior to Webvan, Gary was SVP and officer at American Stores, VP Distribution at Lucky Stores and Smart & Final, and Director of Operations at United Grocers. He has also served on the Board of eRide and on the Advisory Boards of Quaker Oats, Dallas Systems, and Munibox.
