I've never enjoyed introductions, although you wouldn't know. Most who don't know me would be suprised that I am most comfortable with my nose behind a computer or enthrawled with a pencil and a pad of paper. I also can't leave out my apprently strange love for monitoring marketing campaigns, and my obsession with checking statistics and again just a few minutes later.
Those are just a few small details about myself, but they are subtle examples illustrating my deeply ingrained thurst for knowledge, a hunger I can never seem to satisfy and one I never complain about. Over the past decade I evolved from a graphic designer, into a front-end developer and expanded into online marketing, social media management, seo optimization. All of these skills have prepared me for what I'm now moving forward to.
The online shopping scenary will soon become overun with what people will call "knock off" electronic goods and the ones that are selling them won't be bothered as long as their making a few bucks a sale. The china manufactures creating mainstream electronics are not the only manufactures in China who can produce quality items, and those who weren't included are left simply pumping out versions, and variations of the latest gadget.
Does this not all just seem a bit silly? I now even find my self frustrated when I see these items on Amazon, which clearly show the sellers have no interest in the technology they are selling at all, or innovation and improvement which to me is is required in the that industry every day. I simply want to make a small change in that business, and work with a supplier overseas and find ways to build upon todays creations, improve upon them, or provide new alternative features to our favorite electronic items.
Technology is a world filled with possibilities with new upandcoming operating systems, and cutting edge features that the big names often pass by when releasing their latest tablet pc, or cell phone and yet the prices continue to climb. Instead of pumping out cheap, copied electronics that lure unknowing consumers with price, I want to focus on providing quality products that can stand up to name brand options on both quality and features that won't follow their steep pricing increases.
My plans include establishing a set brand name, through purchasing OEM products from a quality supplier that I have already identified from a huge selection of current dropshipping companies. There would then be a strict selection of quality products to back and invest in, with price being the last factor. The final selection would be a limited number of items chosen by their quality in comparison to main stream options, and most importantly their detailed specifications such as processing power, storage space, screen resolution, RAM, periphreals, model, and software. The end product would be products that could stand toe to toe to any large manufactures version.
