JV is a for profit company with the social mission. JV's Solar- POD technology, is an effective, low-cost solution to food spoilage that is common among most developing nations. Using solar energy to dehydrate fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates and meats, the Solar-POD extends the shelf lives of perishable food items, giving users a simple and cost effective means of food preservation. JV will work with farmer's cooperatives in its operations

    Candidate for MSTE, BSc (Bio)/BBA, Founder and Executive Director at Youth Action Africa Inc. (www.yaainc.org) a non-profit organization with a mission to alleviate poverty through computer education and entrepreneurship. He is the only full time staff and acting CEO of the company.

  • Orphee Dossou
    Director of Marketing Operations

    is a marketing and finance major at Northeastern University. He obtained a Bachelors of Science in computer science in France before moving to the U.S where he is currently pursuing another Bachelor’s degree.
    Orphee is in charge of our marketing operations.

  • Michael John Cantalino
    Director of Business Development

    Co-Founder of Net Impact Undergraduate and Students for Social Enterprise at Northeastern University, Michael has led, developed, and conducted socially driven and philanthropic projects over the past several years in Mexico, Haiti, India, and the Dominican Republic. Michael is in charge of business development operations

  • Delaney Bannister
    Director of Communications

    Senior at Northeastern University studying International Affairs and Communication Studies, with a minor in French. Delaney has spent several semesters abroad volunteering in France and South Africa, and is now applying the skills amassed abroad to ensure Jola Venture a smooth entry in Cameroon.
    Delaney is in charge of communication operations.

  • Adam Khaw
    Director of Engineering Operations

    Adam is a senior at Northeastern University studying Mechanical Engineering. He brings to the team the technical expertise to lead further development of device, and is working to finalize designs of the Solar-PODs.

  • Matt Heffenrefer
    Director of Engineering Designs

    Matt is a senior at Northeastern University studying Mechanical Engineering. Matt has worked extensively on the redesigned prototypes that are currently being tested in Cameroon

  • Prath Reddy
    Director of Finance

    Prath graduated from Northeastern University in 2010 with a BS in Finance and Social Entrepreneurship. Co-Founder of Net Impact Undergraduate, Prath has led and/or actively participated in a number of socially driven projects within the Dominican Republic and India. Since graduating, he has worked for an eco-friendly start-up in NJ and investment banking in NYC.
    Prath is in charge of our finances.
