Company Summary

Prior to understanding the correlation to medication adherence for cancer medications and survival, I learned that my mother-in-law battling pancreatic
cancer was taking her Xeloda (Oral Chemotherapy)every other day and sometimes less. Her motivations for violating the physician’s adherence directions, regarding her oral chemotherapy treatment were due to financial and educational barriers (belief that an oral chemotherapy treatment is inferior versus an infusion treatment option). She lost her battle with cancer soon afterwards.

Our motivation is to eliminate patient disease/medication education as ever being a future contributing reason for patients achieving poor medical outcomes capable of leading to premature death.

The US pharmaceutical industry alone loses an estimated $188 billion annually
due to medication non-adherence. This represents 59% of the $320 billion in
total US pharmaceutical revenue in 2011 and 37% of the $508 billion annual
potential total revenue.

Increasing adherence rates by only 10 percentage points would translate into a $41 billion pharmaceutical revenue opportunity in the US ($124 billion globally), accompanied by improved health outcomes and decreased healthcare spending.

We work with pharmaceutical companies and accountable care organizations to customize gamification solutions that create an intrinsic motivation in users to adhere to treatment schedules, medication, health goals and general well-being lifestyle routines.

Medication Games will be sold to pharmaceutical companies that market oral medications for chronic illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and heart
disease. The goal of these “Serious Games” are to help patients understand their treatment, side effects and successful use of the medication. These games will address medication adherence.

The Patient Adherence Portal will be customized for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). This portal will have everything a patient needs to
successfully adhere to their treatments. Patients will be rewarded for lifestyle, medication adherence and engaging in patient education.
ACOs will be able to create a rules engine to drive behavior and analyze results.

Disease management games will be created for pharmaceutical companies, managed care organizations (MCOs), specialty pharmacies
and pharmaceutical wholesale companies like Mckesson (U.S. Oncology).
Gamification will improve disease management through patient health literacy, especially disorders involving complex treatment regimens.

A virtual pill box App will be developed to assist patients in tracking their medication, while providing monitor support by a 3rd party entity. Patients will be rewarded for adhering to their treatment. Our goal is to partner with CVS or Walgreens as a part of their patient reward programs.
