Ionica Sciences is developing a highly adaptable diagnostics platform, combining the spectroscopic technique of surfaced enhanced Raman scattering (“SERS”) with high affinity DNA aptamers to bind disease-specific target molecules. The first application is IonLyme™, a test for Lyme Disease offering greatly improved clinical accuracy vs existing tests. The menu of tests can be rapidly expanded by adding/exchanging aptamers to target a new disease.
