Company Summary
Insectta has developed a novel way to extract highly valuable biomaterials, namely chitosan, organic semiconductors, high quality protein and probiotics from black soldier flies (BSF), which are farmed on food waste.
Insect farming globally is burdened by high costs, due to the low value of the insects. By extracting more than just proteins and lipids from BSF, Insectta is able to more than triple the value of dried insect biomass.
