Company Summary

As policymakers and educators clash on how to overcome the shortcomings of test data, Jeven offers a third path: supplement existing test data with rubric scored, performance based assessments to complete the picture of teacher/student performance. As schools struggle with data entry and operations needs, we offer a tool to efficiently collect data without the need for typing. Jeven is efficiency, effectiveness, and the future of education.

Team

  • Steven Francisco
    President

A native of the south Bronx, Steven Francisco returned to his home community to teach third grade in 2003. At the close of his first year teaching, Steven refused to recycle his notes on student performance. Instead he brought the notes home: analyzing, coding and recording each note. Recognizing patterns in his student data and bottlenecks in his work-flow, he developed Jeven: a system that collects and reports on real-time classroom data.
