ISTI develops novel gunshot detection systems that are cheaper, more reliable/accurate, with autonomous false alarm rejection comparing to competitions.
Since inception in 1998, ISTI has been primarily funded by Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contracts issued by various DoD agencies. The gunshot detection system (GDS) is a spin-off technology resulting from a multi-phase SBIR research sponsored by the U.S. Army. The VC funding provides required resources for engineering support to transition ISTI’s GDS systems into a new market entry product and develop the business systems.
