    Ted Werblin, Ophthalmic Surgeon, Associate Professor at the University of Virginia (USA) and inventor of the technology IVO, owned the rights to the intellectual property before divesting them to IVO. He is the author of numerous scientific publications in journals including the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (JCRS) and the Journal of Refractive Surgery (JRS). He performs about 1,000 surgical cases per year.
