Company Summary

Imagars develops software, primarily targeted for mobile devices, for analysis of imagery. We recognize vector graphics which then can be further mined or assessed. In addition to our patent-pending sketch recognition system, we have sought IP protection on an ecosystem capable of automatically assessing the quality of design activities relative to each stage in a given design process, through guiding, real-time alerts (a very challenging task).

    Dr. Steingrimsson completed his Ph.D. from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota in 2001. He is a Certified Project Management Professional with five years of management experience from Image Sensing Systems, Inc. Dr. Steingrimsson has one issued US patent from his tenure at Image Sensing Systems (Hybrid Traffic System and Associated Method, Patent No. US 8,849,554 B2, issued on Sept. 30, 2014).

  • Nick Kisialiou
    Chief Technology Officer

    Dr. Kisialiou is Imagars' primary software architect. He completed his Ph.D. from the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota in 2007. Upon graduation, he joined Intel Corporation in Hillsboro OR where he earned departmental awards for engineering excellence. Dr. Kisialiou has led Imagars' work on the SketchRec product.
