    CEO

    Michael is a veteran of start ups and mature companies in the medical device and technical fields. He has an MS in Physics and Lasers, and he was an early employee and VP of R&D at Intralase, innovator and worlwide leader of the femtosecond laser for lasik surgery. Most recently he was a VP/Director of R&D at Abbott Medical Optics after two acquisitions. He has held executive and board positions at international start ups in Zurich and England.

    Founder, Chairman

    Dr. Huang earned an MD degree from Harvard and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is known for co-inventing optical coherence tomography (OCT), which in the past 20 years has grown into the most used eye imaging test that annually generates more than $1 billion in sales worldwide. He is a professor, practicing eye surgeon, and researcher at the Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health & Science University.

  • Hiroshi Ishikawa
    Founder

    Dr. Ishikawa earned an MD degree from Mie University (Japan). He had a first career as a video game developer (Micro Cabin, Japan), a second career as an ophthalmologist, and a third career as an ocular imaging researcher. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Bioengineering, and Director of the Ocular Imaging Center at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

    Founder, Software Director

    Mr. Tam earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has a strong background in software development, engineering management, and system architecture. He has co-founded several software companies, including Aerio, Edtuit, Foodia and Accela and has served as the Director of Engineering and Operations for several others.     CFO

    Mr. Martin serves iCheckHC on a part-time consulting basis. Mr. Martin is a financial executive with technology company experience, including Hewlett Packard, and he has served as the president or CFO with a number of startup companies in Oregon.
