Company Summary

Iazu is an engineering, procurement and contracting company set up to facilitate geological surveying, well drilling, gas production, gas distribution pipelines, gas value addition, power and ammonia plant engineering in Zimbabwe and the southern African region. Iazu intends to monetise gas reserves in its CBM basin by constructing and operating an 80MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant and 315 tonne per day Ammonia Synthesis facility.

    Clive Samvura

    Mr. Clive Samvura is a CEO and Managing Director of Iazu. He has eleven years of experience in the engineering sector, with ten years in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry as a project engineer. After obtaining a first class pass in Mechanical Engineering from South Bank University, he went on to work as a project engineer for Boustead International Heaters UK, from 2004 to 2007. He then went on to work for Tecnicas Reunidas, Spain.

    Kevin Sambana

    Mr. Kudzai Sambana is the Operations Director of Iazu. He has nine years experience in the engineering sector with four in telecommunications and five in the oil and gas industry. After completing his engineering degree at the University of Greenwich in London, UK, he proceeded to work for Sasktel Communications and progressed to Telus Communications. He then went on to work as a project manager for Suncor and is now a project manager at CEDA.

    Takawira Samvura

    Mr. Takawira Samvura is the Procurement and Sales Director of Iazu. He studied Business Administration at the John Molson School of Business in Montreal. He has three years of extensive Sales and Marketing experience working for Memberworks Canada, and finance experience with the NCO Group in Montreal. He currently works as a Supervisor Contractor with Precision Drilling, Canada's largest oilfield service company.
