HySense Inc. will be the producer of highly specialized chemochromic pigments, developed at University of Central Florida, for hydrogen leak detection. Hydrogen is one of the most important energy sources of the future and is highly flammable. Hence creating a safe environment is of utmost importance. These pigments, when encapsulated, have proven to be a low cost but highly robust alternative to laborious and expensive electronic sensors.

    Dr. Nahid Mohajeri is a research associate professor at University of Central Florida/ Florida Solar Research Center since 2003. Her research focus has been in hydrogen storage, hydrogen sensor, and PEM fuel cells. She is the author/co-author of more than forty publications and an inventor/co-inventor of seven U.S. patents.
