HVP Farms is a hydroponic produce operation providing fresh produce to the NYC metro market. Our proximity to NYC, within 100 miles, allows us to deliver within 24 hours of harvest. This means higher quality, increased freshness, better taste, and more nutrition. CEO has existing customer base and currently moves $ 15 million in produce annually. HVP Farms will replace foreign supply with locally grown produce.

    3 decades in the produce business, that began by unloading trucks at the NYC terminal market, then moved up to head the specialty department at D’arrigo Bros. Joined A&J Produce in 1992. Created specialty department that grow from zero sales to over $16M in 1996. Then became the co-founder and President of L.C. & Jones, a full service prodcuce distribution company. In 2002 became President of Jones Global Trading Inc. ., a full service broker.

  • Bobby Massarini
    CTO

    Over 25 yrs experience in business and marketing, having run several consulting firms. An accomplished computer programmer with an educational background in Biology from Rutgers University and SUNY, concentrating in physiology and pathology, along with certifications in photovoltaic, renewable energy, and biomass heating systems. Owner of 10-acre hobby farm, he brings the rare combination of agricultural and technological experience.

    CFO

    A graduate of Syracuse University in Accounting & Economics, James has over 4 decades of experience. He began in Public Accounting before moving to Controller for Orange Cty, NY A.H.R.C. Afterwards opened up Browns Accounting amassing a client base of over 500 firms nationwide. This diversity provides rare insight into a variety of businesses, both start-ups & established operations. Air Force Vietnam Vet & retired member of Air National Guard.

  • Jim Giovanniello
    Logistics Mgr

    Began career With Prompton Office Supply, originally as a driver, and eventually running the shipping operation, managing the complete distribution process from point of origin to end point. After a decade, he formed Giovanniello Boys Distribution. For the last 30 yrs has run an independent distribution firm servicing clients the likes of BT Office Products, Corporate Express, and Staples.

    Advisory Board

    Decades of experience in the field of agriculture as a professor, inventor, and writer. A pioneer in science of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), he has served as both faculty member & head of Cornell’s CEA program. Author of several patents, his research programs ranged from controlled systems for future NASA colonies in space, to plant growth rooms and chambers, to commercial greenhouses.
