Long-distance carpooling is extremely popular in Europe, yet is still virtually non-existent in North America. Hovr's goal is to popularize it here, by safely connecting people going the same direction via an easy-to-use app. This is better for the environment and less expensive than driving alone. It also provides an alternative transportation option for people without vehicles to travel directly to their destination in a private vehicle.
