A home designed for the elderly with dementia. My goal is to start a foster home with 5 to 6 residents, with myself living on site to run the day to day operations I have been in this business for 10 years and I am currently a nurse working in a dementia unit. My staff will be limited to day time hours since I will be onsite. My services will include: All activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, medication distribution, meals, housekeeping). Transportation to appointments with a staff member. Outings such as going to the museums or shopping. This is a private pay home and will stay competitive with the rates of a dementia facility. Each room will be private except one, giving the option to share as some financial resources may change in the future. I want to give these residents the best option to live out there life. The home will be designed for the residents to participate in the decision making (monthly menus or outings). I want to promote as much independence as possible.
