Dr. Mathes is CAO of Hoot Education and Professor of Teaching and Learning at SMU. She received her Ph.D. in 1992 from Vanderbilt University in Education and Human Development. The recipient of the 2011 Distinguished Alumni Award, she also serves as Editor of the Annals of Dyslexia and sits on the Board for the Council for Learning Disabilities.
Dr. Mathes came to SMU in 2003 as the Texas Instruments Endowed Chair in Evidence-Based Education.

Antony Francis is CEO at Hoot Education, Inc. He is a business leader and entrepreneur with 25+ years in general management and business strategy. An expert in developing and marketing new products and services with a successful past in sales growth, he knows how to set up, scale, restructure, reorganize and run back-office operations in cloud based and e-commerce operations. He is a Chartered Accountant. He is bilingual English/French.

Eric Reeves has worked with start-up companies in Educational technology. He has served as the MD of IETX, a nonprofit organization focused on innovative educational solutions and as MD of High Bar which focuses on helping technology companies with government relations, financial services, and legislative research. He was a State Senator in North Carolina. He is a graduate from Duke with his law degree from Wake Forest .
