We are Higher Rewards, a financial services startup focused on empowering people to directly finance their religion/nonprofit of affiliation with every transaction on our credit card. Backed by Berkeley Skydeck and operating out of Concord, we are currently pre-product, and 7-12 weeks from commencing our pilot program (with a full waitlist). Our card generates philanthropic dollars with every purchase, sending 2% back to the issuing organization.

    At 19, I founded a multimillion-dollar real estate firm. After The Great Recession wiped out my company and my fortune, I dedicated my life to finding ways to provide equity to those who need it most. To this end, I founded a learning community for black students. Years later, I founded a nonprofit that taught entrepreneurship & innovation in the middle east. Higher Rewards is the natural evolution of my continual efforts to empower others.

    Jacob is a seasoned entrepreneur, business ethics advocate, certified expert witness in valuation, advisory board member and multi time founder. He has two decades of experience in portfolio and asset management, deal syndication and finance. Certifications past and present include Cisco Certified Network Technician, Licensed Real Estate Broker, Certified Appraiser, Senior Business Analyst and Ordained Minister.

    Full-stack software engineer with a background in finance, with several years of experience building modular, testable, and scalable web applications. Andrew has architected and developed software for multiple successful startups in Silicon Valley. Andrew has extensive experience building beautiful, intuitive front-end views, and building scalable RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures (SOA/Microservices).
