Company Summary
Helpp is a mobile app that connects consumers with individual service providers who are on-call and ready to provide help with a wide variety of local services at a moment’s notice, such as rides, food delivery, housework, babysitting, tutoring, and more. The Helpp app enables individual service providers to find new customers, to work in on-call mode and to accept appointments, to manage jobs, and to process payments, all from their smartphones.
First generation gig economy marketplaces proved that consumers are willing to hire people using an app to do just about anything, and that workers really like the freedom of setting their own schedules. But first gen marketplaces still operate a lot like traditional companies—centralized entities that specialize in one type of service, control prices, collect payments from customers, and pay 70-80% commissions to workers once a week. They also protect ownership of 'their' customers, forcing workers to process repeat business through them so they get their cut.
Helpp offers the next logical step in the evolution of the gig economy and helps people take complete control of their livelihoods. Helpp lets people provide any number of services, set their own pricing, get paid directly, own their customer base, and perhaps most importantly, keep all of their revenue. Helpp makes money by selling targeted advertising based on service type and location, and by promoting equipment, supplies, and business services to providers. Welcome to the Gig Economy 2.0.
The Helpp web app is live and currently in beta testing. Founder Scott Hankinson and Directors Ravi Kiran and Jonathan Stokely possess the necessary combination of business and technology expertise to lead the company. We are currently raising $200,000 for a 20% equity stake, under a Reg D 504 offering.
