Company Summary
Helion Space Systems’ objective is to provide small satellite operators with inexpensive, high frequency launches. By following a low cost approach, and using inexpensive, commercially available, off the shelf components we intend to develop a launch vehicle (Aurora) with our first commercial flight by late 2022.

Co-FounderAli Basmaci has experience developing control algorithms for light aerial vehicles and small satellites. He holds a degree in aerospace engineering and a minor in economics from Carleton University. He has led the development of the attitude and heading control system for CAPTURE, a debris mitigating satellite and also helped develop the thermal control system for the CSDC scientific satellite.

Co-FounderChristopher Gover has experience developing satellite systems and project management of both small andlarge groups. He was responsible for the development of a scientific satellite and was project integrator for CAPTURE, an orbit debris mitigating satellite. He holds a degree in aerospace engineering, specializing in space systems design from Carleton University.
