Company Summary

Cardiovascular disease patients would benefit from surgical treatment with HeartPatch, a cell sheet patch designed to replace damaged myocardium with functioning engineered heart tissue. Our bio-MEMS platform characterizes the functional properties of patches and conditions them to have conduction velocity and contractility compatible with the patient's resident heart tissue for improved incorporation and resulting cardiac function.
