Groupmuse directly connects classical musicians in the area with non-traditional venues (living rooms, bookstores, cafés, etc.) and culture-seeking young folks who are looking for a fun and sociable way to experience great music and meet like-minded people. Because our Happenings develop organically from the community, they reflect the community, and not the large institutions that have defined the culture of classical music until now.

    Sam has been obsessed with classical music ever since he first heard Beethoven's Groβe Fuge, Op. 133, in December of 2008. He graduated from Columbia University this past May with a degree in political science, which he has known for a while would be useless, considering that he decided to devote his life to helping classical music find its footing in the modern world years ago.
