Co-FounderSpecialist in financial innovation and regulation. Recognized contributor to the JOBS Act and co-founder of early crowdfunding entrant Motaavi. Winner of NC Idea grant. Previously worked for the Roundtable on Dodd-Frank, for the SEC on Dodd-Frank and Flash Crash report, and for FINRA. He received his LLM at Duke University School of Law and holds a BS in Biological Sciences and Business from the University of Alberta.

Co-Founder & CEOBrian is a disruptive technology entrepreneur who most recently led the launch of republic wireless to take on the big four cellphone carriers. As a result, millions more Americans can now afford a smartphone. Prior to a 15-year startup career spanning Silicon Valley, Boston and London, Brian earned a JD from Harvard Law School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA with Highest Distinction from the University of Virginia.

VP of SoftwareChris is a full stack developer with over 15 years of software experience, including stints working in the trenches with Brian and Ben at Republic Wireless and building financial services backend systems for Fidelity. He loves agile development practices and lean startup principles. On the weekends he enjoys hanging out with his two sons or spending the afternoon flying. Chris earned his BA from Roger Williams University.

VP Customer OperationsBen has held various roles in the Financial Services, Technology and Consumer Products Industries. He worked with Brian to help launch Republic Wireless and prior to that he was an Associate in Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking Division. Ben received his Masters in Finance from London Business School and has an MBA from Emory University. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
