Company Summary

How often do you find yourself fastened to an enigmatic situation where all you wish is to “Spread what you witness”? And how often do you catch yourself wishing that you had that “elusive piece of information” before hand?

Social media giants like Facebook and twitter help us connect to the world at any given instant, but how does one tap into the immediate social fibre? The society gossip perpetrated by aunties, the robbery that took place a block away, or the exact reason of the power cut last night. The hyperlocal news or local questions by new migrants. The possibilities are endless!

Small things that matters most to us. News , events, incidents happening near us are the ones that demand our immediate attention and actions.

Grito connects people to their immediate surrounding with “immediately actionable posts”. Like our tagline, we encourage all our users to ask, inform, debate and help build a community that is always aware of what's happening around.

Team

  • Co-founder

His entrepreneurial journey started long back in 2013 when he delivered workshops to 2000+ students from various colleges. Sukant founded HostMySnuff.com - a hosting platform and Arohee - IT Service and eventually shut them down because they were like - “just another work and no fun”. Grito sprouted up in December 2014 and there is no stopping since.

Holding key positions in startups at various ladders of growth, he best knows what it takes !

  • Shirish Kumar
    Co-founder

A mathematics genius, class X topper, ace programmer and what not.
Shirish graduated from BITS Pilani in 2015 with a job offer from 2 fortune 500 companies. But his gut feeling was too strong to not start Grito.

While still in college, he developed an Android app for betting and voting. His love for machine learning and specifically in the area of topic categorization helped Grito make a mark in the competition.
