Green Futures Belize LLC will purchase and manage an established 500 acre citrus and grain farm in Belize, Central America. Agriculture land in Belize still about a third of the cost of purchasing farmland in the US, and it has the advantage of being able to produce 2 to 3 crops a year. Crops will be sold locally and exported to the Caribbean and European Markets. Internationally, crop prices are forecasted to remain high for the next 20 years.

    Jon Seltz has a family history in cattle and crop production. He has a strong background in management and human resources and has owned and operated his own business. He has past experience living and working in tropical environments and has a thorough understanding of the challenges of working, and managing employees with different cultural backgrounds. He has proven success with infrastructure planning, budgeting and maintenance of projects.

    Managing Partner

    Dr. Good has over 10 years experience in large and small animal medicine, as well as the maintenance of animals in subtropical environments. Her recent studies have included the chemistry of various fatty acids found in plant derived biofuels, forage grasses and legumes for tropical zones and beef cattle reproductive management, genetics and artificial insemination.

    Managing Partner/Agriculture Advisor

    Fred has over 50 years of farm management and livestock husbandry experience and has started and managed several successful companies. During his career he has been involved in all manner of grain and grass production as well as beef, swine and dairy. Fred has spent a great deal of time in Belize and has a through understanding of farming in a tropical environment.

    Additional Information

    Fred and Jon Seltz have been involved in agriculture in Belize for the past 7 years. During this time, they have developed a good understanding of the concerns and advantages of farming in a tropical environment. Through the years, they have developed relationships with many of the leaders in the Belizean agriculture community.
