Great Plains Microbiology is dedicated to furthering the state of the art in Food Safety testing. In addition to providing rapid, low-cost ,comprehensive testing to the food industry we are developing and commercializing our own comprehensive tests across a variety of molecular platforms. These assays will lower testing costs to producers by 50%-70% depending on competitor pricing and tests selected.

    Formerly a lab scientist at Crescendo Bioscience and OMRF, as well as a food safety lab manager for IEH, Inc at its facility in Oxnard, CA. Cyrus has a vision for translating the technology of molecular diagnostics into Food Safety and has created a diverse team of scientific, financial and operations talent to see that vision commercialized. He has cultivated relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the field to ensure its success.

  • Gary Cook
    Chief Financial Officer

    brings 20 years of operations and financial experience to the company. He previously was C.F.O. at Analytical Research Laboratories (ARL) and DNA Solutions, ISO 17025 accredited contract laboratories in Oklahoma City. During his decade long tenure, these companies experienced rapid growth and acquired clients nationally. His core competencies are operational and financial management of contract laboratories.

    Chief Scientific Officer

    David brings high-level industrial and academic expertise in pathogen detection development across a variety of molecular platforms to the company. He has been a scientist at ICx Technologies and Oklahoma State University among others and has received patents in detection of biological targets by optical resonance devices.

  • Michael Centola
    Senior Scientific Advisor

    Dr. Centola was previously an NIH Scholar and OMRF Investigator, as well as founder and C.S.O of Crescendo Bioscience. At Crescendo he was lead inventor and developed the first multivariate clinical diagnostic test for Rheumatoid Arthritis “Vectra DA” which successfully went to market generating millions of dollars in revenue as of January 2013.

  • Chris Sutton
    Senior Scientific Advisor

    Dr. Sutton is a biotechnology industry veteran, in addition to being Co-Founder and Laboratory Director at Crescendo Bioscience during development of the Vectra DA test, he ran a high-throughput FDA/CLIA accredited, LabCorp laboratory in California, handling throughput of 120,000 samples monthly. He is responsible for development of new molecular tests generating millions of dollars of revenue as of January 2013.
