Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Rosen founded IFC's Grassroots Business Initiative (GBI) in 2004, which he managed until it was restructured and spun off to become GBF in 2008. Prior to GBI, he worked with the World Bank Group for over thirty years. He has funded and managed large investment portfolios and has played a major role in starting IFC’s microfinance and SME activities. Harold has helped IFC move into new approaches, geographic markets, products and services.

Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Ramirez was part of the founding team of GBF in 2008. He has over fifteen years of experience in finance, project management, risk analysis and operations consulting in developing countries. Prior to his current role as, he served as Portfolio Manager for the Latin America and Asia regions. Prior to GBF, he worked with MBAs Without Borders as a Gone Rural business associate in the Kingdom of Swaziland, where he supported the management team.

Africa Regional Manager
Ms. Mramba joined GBF in 2011. She has over nine years of finance experience. Prior to GBF, Lilian was at Moss Adams LLP, a US based accounting and consulting firm, where she managed large-scale social responsibility audits for publicly-traded companies, and financial audits for social welfare organizations and governmental entities. She also worked at African Development Bank where she worked on investment projects across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Latin America Regional Manager
Ms. Barantseva joined GBF in 2008. She has over eight years providing management, operations, investment, and business advisory services to SMEs in South America. Prior to her current role, she worked as a consultant for GBI, then became an investment Officer at GBI-I. She has worked in Bolivia, Peru, and Colombia, providing hands-on business strengthening support to clients, and building pipeline and partnerships in the region.

Vice President of Legal & Compliance
Ms. Kellman joined GBF in 2009. She has over ten years of legal and international development experience. Prior to GBF, she was the U.S. Director for the Institute for Democracy in Africa, a South African nonprofit that ran democracy and governance programs in over twenty African countries. She consulted for FINCA International on microfinance regulatory issues and worked as an international project finance attorney at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.

Vice President of Finance & Administration
Ms. McKnight joined GBF in 2008. She has over six years of impact investing experience. Prior to her current role, she served at GBF as Operations Officer, and concurrently as SME Export Facility Portfolio Analyst and Operations Assistant. Previously she worked for the U.S. Committee for UNDP, where she played an active role in the operations of the organization and new project planning.
