Marten DresenFounder and CEO
Marten founded education and entrepreneurship NGO Niños de Guatemala in 2006. 2009 to 2012, Marten was based in Brazil to start up the South American branch of shipping company Dockwise. Marten is currently dedicated to opening Good Hotel Antigua and planning for a second Good Hotel in Brazil. Marten received a degree in Strategic Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam and in Corporate and Trade Law from the University of Nijmegen.

Maria has 15 years of experience as an advocate, strategist, and connector. Results of her partnership building skills include securing $2 billion in US federal funding for a Silicon Valley transportation project and raising $14 million for a pre-school initiative in California. Maria came to Antigua to learn diplomatic level Spanish and became dedicated to creating economic and educational opportunities in
Guatemala. -

Chris is international tax advisor and partner at PwC in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He has extensive experience with corporate and fiscal structuring in Latin America. Chris has a degree in Tax Law from Leiden University.

Entrepreneur, investor and real estate developer; owner and director of the largest hospitality training group (www.sho-horeca.nl) in the Netherlands. Mr. Pols received his bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management in 1973 at the Hotel Management School Maastricht.

Anika JacobsHospitality Director
Anika opened several hostels with an investor in Spain and the Czech Republic before founding her own boutique hostel Cocomama in Amsterdam in 2010h (www.cocomama.nl). Cocomama has won several awards and is frequently featured in the press. In 2013 she plans to open Ecomama in Amsterdam (a green and more luxurious sister of Cocomama) and Tikamama in Brazil (an upscale surf hotel).

Remko VerhaaganArt Director
Remko is one of the Netherlands top young designers and owner of design studio Blooey (www.blooey.nl) in Rotterdam. Remko has worked with VanBerlo, Flex/the Innovationlab and Edward van Vliet. He has designed for clients such as Heineken and Philips and received several design awards including the prestigious iF Gold and RedDot Best of the Best awards.

Roelof TeeningaDirector Good Hotel Antigua
Roelof worked in business development for a European insurance company and founded a sailing events company. He studied at the ESADE Business School in Spain and has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Roelof conducted the original market study and wrote the first business plan for Good Hotel Antigua. He is currently working full time in Antigua to open Good Hotel Antigua in November 2014.
