I run Progressive Public Affairs, a communications and advocacy firm. We represent advocates (501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) and individuals) who are working to change the world. We help them craft their message, develop their policy, build consensus and implement their visions. I lobby the Illinois General Assembly and consult with advocates around the nation, including the Florida Public Transportation Association.

Our business attorney will provide assistance to the company in legal matters such as lawsuits, liability, business growth and tax planning, copyright and trademark counseling, etc. Ellen’s prime job is to fill out and submit these forms on time. Ellen will also look after many functions of day to day work like wages, health of workers, medical and general insurance, different taxes etc.

Amy will oversee the operations of our kitchen. All kitchen staff will report to Amy. She will also determine which equipment and ingredients are necessary to keep in the inventory. She will work with the Nutritionist to decide the menus, the frequency with which the menu changes, the sizes of portions and the ingredients that are used.

Shelton is a logistics specialist and has nine years of Food industry experience as the Manager of the Hyde Park Co-Op Markets (3 community cooperative stores which had a 25m operating budget and a staff of over 500). Shelton’s goals were to keep costs within the budget, achieve the revenue targets and identify opportunities for future growth of the company.

Laureth is a certified teacher in the state of Illinois and has an extensive background in writing curriculum for various projects, both related to a school environment and for non-school related programs. Her goals are to develop the core training program and educational materials, to work closely with the workforce development team, and to ensure the success of each of the educational seminars through proper planning and execution.
