Kai Wang is a computer scientist. He got his Phd in 2003, and has been a faculty at University of South Dakota, staff scientist at NIH, and software architect at Berkeley lab. He has published more than 30 papers and lots of software tools.

He is a leading expert in sequencing data analysis. He is the co-inventor of next generation RNA sequencing technology. He serves as editors for renown scientific journals and has authored many scientific publications, including three in Science and several in Nature.
