    Prior to Genia, Dr, Gonthier co-founded in 1997 a fiber optic component manufacturer, ITF optical technologies, was president until 1999, and CTO until 2006 when ITF was sold. ITF raised $100 M, and went from 3 to 500 employees. Prior to ITF, Dr. Gonthier was R&D coordinator at Alcatel Canada for 5 years. Dr. Gonthier has more than 35 patents or applications. Dr. Gonthier has a B. eng, Master and Ph.D from Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal.
