Maurice manages and coordinates the trading of 100,000 tonnes of timber annually across Ireland. Involved in this role are active contract negotiations and market analysis. Further to this, Maurice is involved in the strategic and tactical business development of the Green Belt group. This role includes actively marketing and promoting Green Belt, attracting and securing investment and successfully managing long term client relationships.

is a graduate of UCD having specialised in Forestry Management. Before joining Green Belt in 1991, John was appointed CEO in 2001.
John is actively involved in Green Belt’s core Irish forestry business and has also been responsible for the significant expansion and diversification of the business with the establishment of Imperative Energy Limited – a renewable energy company – and several large overseas investments and management contracts.
