Company Summary

Team Cell was launched in the spring of 2012 in an effort to provide better healthcare technologies to patients worldwide. Our flagship diagnostic device, CTC-Sure, identifies circulating cancer cells with a speed, accuracy, and sensitivity far surpassing existing technologies on the market. This means improved patient outcomes while saving time and costs for healthcare providers. Team Cell currently operates out of Boston, MA and Madrid, Spain.

  • Shivang Dave
    Dr

    Shivang received his PhD at U. Washington, focusing in nano-particle based cancer biomarker detection. He has also completed a Program in Technology Commercialisation and Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate, winning several business plan competitions. He is passionate about engineering technologies to address unmet biomedical problems, and has deep experience in bio-engineering and nanotechnology.

  • Germán Gonzalez Serrano
    Dr

    Germán received his PhD at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). His dissertation dealt with the design of algorithms to automatically detect and delineate neuronal structures in noisy image stacks. He seeks to develop technologies to improve medical practice and is particularly interested in computer aided diagnosis techniques and artificial intelligence.

  • Simon Abou-Antoun

    Simon is an engineer in electronics with over ten year experience in information technology. His experience ranges from services to infrastructure. He brings skills in design and implementation that would be critical to developing the business. Simon is a prospective MBA student at IE Business School.

  • Greg Susott

    Greg received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2005. Since then, he worked in various industries both in North America and Europe, gaining engineering experience covering concept, design, testing and manufacture of medical devices. Greg is an IE Fellow and part of the Wharton Global Consulting Team, with both projects relating to Spanish start-up companies in the biotechnology sector. Greg is a prospective MBA at IE.

  • Gaurav Sood

    Gaurav is an engineer with experience in bio-medical devices, having developed speech and cochlear implant calibration software. Gaurav’s career has spanned software development and consulting in financial software over 8 years. He brings broad systems knowledge to develop the business through marketing, system integration and financial modelling. Gaurav is a prospective MBA student at IE Business School.
