Dr. Jim Brown holds a Ph.D. in Human Performance from Indiana University. He is the foremost authority on firefighter fireground physiology in the U.S. and is the only U.S. scientist to be embedded with a major metropolitan fire department. As an embedded scientist, Dr. Brown serves as Indianapolis Fire Department's Medical Research Scientist advising on firefighter health & safety issues and collecting physiology data on the fire ground.
