Previously, headed the clinical team at MEL Ltd., a device start-up company. Dr. Aharon has expertise in project evaluation, business development and negotiations with global pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Aharon holds an M.D degree from the University of Tel Aviv, Israel.

Received Ph.D. from Cornell University, USA. Has vast experience in managing research and preclinical development. Managed the R&D at Proteologics, was SVP Discovery at Pharmos Ltd., and a partner at R&D Integrative Solutions, providing consultancy and management pre-clinical and clinical services to the biotechnology industry. Iris led the discovery of small molecules CB2 agonists from hit optimization toward Phase II studies in pain.
