Brian is an experienced entrepreneur with a background as a business attorney. He has founded multiple companies, including the venture building firm and coworking space Impact Hub Seattle, which launched Fledge.co, KickIncubator (acquired by Spring.is), and Swurveys. Most recently he was Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Washington where he met Format Health's cofounder, Dr. Brian Ross.

The COO/CTO, Mike McKenzie, also joined the team in May 2017 from athenahealth, where he was head of product innovation and hospital solutions. He was cofounder of RazorInsights, a hospital software company that was acquired by athenahealth for $40M in 2015.

Dr. Ross PhD, MD, Prof. of Anesthesiology, joined Format Health as Chief Medical Officer after 25 years experience in medical simulation and medical device innovation, and 15 years as chair and member of the UW Code Blue Committee.

The EVP of Business Development, Bruce Thigpen, joined in May 2017 after 15 years experience selling software to hospitals across the U.S., including time as the Director of Channel Sales for athenahealth.
