Company Summary

Chicken is the most expensive form of protein in Ethiopia. There is an estimated shortage of 60-70 million chickens annually. Since taking over a failing government farm one year ago, we have successfully implemented a new distribution model, turned Mekelle Farms profitable, and are on track to producing and distributing over 400,000 chickens this year to rural farmers—a 27x production increase over previous government management.
