Nicole has worked on innovations in micro and small enterprise support across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. She helped launch MicroWorld, a microfinance and mobile tech social business lending in 8 countries. A Phi Beta Kappa grad of Kenyon College, she also holds an MPA in Development Economics from Columbia University. Nicole speaks Portuguese, French, Mandarin, Spanish, and basic Swahili.

With over three decades of experience in entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and financial cryptography, Duncan has been a pioneer in mobile innovations for microfinance. He founded Mobile Microfinance Ltd to help Kenyan microfinance institutions adopt early mobile money technology, and later helped found Musoni, the world's first cashless microfinance institution, in Nairobi. Duncan studied at Durham University and London Business School.

Athu has over a decade of experience in strategic business development at Thomson Reuters and Thomson Financial, and as a successful entrepreneur in Tanzania. Originally from Zanzibar, Athu holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Finance from Northeastern University and a graduate certificate from Boston University in International Business. He speaks fluent Swahili and English and is proficient in several programming languages.

Jessica is responsible for the operations, coordination and overall logistical management of the company. Prior to joining First Access, she served as a Managing Associate for USAID’s Business Growth Initiative project at Weidemann Associates near Washington, DC. Jessica holds a Master’s from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s from the University of Delaware.
