In an age of superhero movies and cinematic universes, where Hollywood budgets can exceed $200,000,000, the studio system lives or dies on whether or not these movies make any money. They are afraid to put any money down on a movie that is not guaranteed to make a massive profit. What these executives fail to realize, however, is that the top ten most profitable movies of the last five years have all been horror movies. This is because horror audiences are constantly clamoring for the next opportunity to see someone gutted and mutilated. When a movie can be made with neither big name in front of nor behind the camera, it can be made for dirt cheap. Because of the built-in audience of horror, the A-list talent is non-essential. By performing all major behind-the-scenes work myself (writing, directing, producing), I am able to save even more money, allowing for maximum profits all around.
