Antibiotic resistance is a rapidly increasing global problem. We have developed an adjuvant from breast milk, HAMLET, that can make drug-resistant bacteria sensitive to multiple classes of antibiotics. HAMLET has a general antimicrobial adjuvant effect in vitro, so far verified in vivo in animal models against MRSA and Streptococcus pneumoniae. Our mission is to expand the use of HAMLET to overcome antibiotic resistance.
