It is also a "divest-invest" strategy in that no investments are made into companies engaged in the exploration and production of fossil fuels ("The Carbon Underground 200" by Carbon tracker). The aim of the strategy is to generate stable income over time such that one is not forced to sell assets at low valuations in crises.
