Millions of people have unmet essential needs, such as clean water and consistent lighting. Hundreds of essential technologies that meet these needs already exist, like nonelectric water filters and affordable solar lanterns. However, these technologies are not reaching the people they were designed to benefit. Essmart builds an essential marketplace for these products in places where people already shop, their local retail shops.
