    Chief Executive Officer

    Vocal advocate for good governance social equity throughout his 40+ year oil and gas industry career. Prior to joining EO, held executive leadership positions at Vetra Energia SL, Transmeridien Exploration, Inc., Solana Resources Limited, Alberta Energy and Occidental Petroleum (OXY). At OXY, he was VP, Worldwide Engineering, Technical Services and Health, Environment and Safety, after serving as the President of Occidental Colombia.

    David has nine years of experience working to promote environmentally and socially responsible oil and gas exploration and production within the Ecuadorian Amazon. A graduate of Brown University, he is a recipient of the Henry David Thoreau, Harry S. Truman and Rhodes Scholarships.

    Leveraging his experience as a social entrepreneur, Christian leads EO's strategic and business development efforts. Prior to joining EO, he worked for Teach for America and Goldman Sachs and founded a not-for-profit committed to preventing childhood obesity in low-income communities. Christian graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University, is a Harvard Business School MBA candidate and the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship.

    Malcolm has worked in the environmental and social sustainability field for 25 years as Director of Sustainability for NSF International, as a contractor for the U.S. EPA, ERM and Tetra Tech, and as the founder and president for two of his own companies. He graduated from the Global Executive MBA program jointly run by Columbia and London Business Schools supplementing a degree in chemistry from the University of Salford.

Fernando is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

    VP Stakeholder Engagment

    Manuel is a biologist who established and served as Director of the Environmental and Social Reparation Fund within Ecuador's Ministry of the Environment. With 20 years of experience in the northern Amazon region of Ecuador, Manuel is an authority on the relationship between oil production and indigenous populations. From 2000 to 2005, he coordinated the Reunification and Cultural Revalorization Project of the Secoya people of Ecuador and Peru.

    Soledad is a human rights and corporate social responsibility expert with over 10 years of experience overseeing due diligence assessments against the IFC Performance Standards for Underwriters Laboratories (UL)’s Responsible Sourcing division.
